Mormon seems to change audience in these verses. No longer is he speaking to the “fair ones” fallen in the great destruction but to those who would later receive his words. After reading Mormon’s plea to be always aware that you inevitably “must stand before the judgment-seat of Christ,” how should you read the account in these verses of the fair ones who have fallen? What changes must be made to assure that you do not suffer the same fate as the Nephite people?
