Mormon reflects on the glorious opportunity the Lamanites had to follow Christ and build up a glorious Christian empire such as that which existed during the first two or three centuries after the coming of Christ. But they turned their souls over to Satan and this compelled the Lord to take the blessings which the Lamanites could have had and shower them upon the Gentiles who will take over the land.
