“Be Judged According to Your Works by the Twelve”

Brant Gardner

Mormon’s conception of his ultimate audience is large: the remnant of the twelve tribes of Israel and the descendants of Israel in the New World. He differentiates them by the stewardship of their judges: the twelve apostles in the Old World, and the twelve disciples in the New. Christ called both to be his special witnesses.
