Gods System of Providing Judges

Daniel H. Ludlow

Although Jesus Christ is the eventual judge of all mankind, he has established a system of judges to help him in this responsibility. For example, Mormon indicates that the twelve apostles of the Savior on the eastern continent are to judge the twelve tribes of Israel. (Mormon 3:18.) Thus the twelve Nephite disciples on the American continent are to be judged by the twelve apostles on the eastern continent (see 1 Nephi 12:9-10; Mormon 3:19), and in turn these twelve Nephite disciples will judge the "remnant of the people," which refers to the descendants of Lehi and Ishmael.
