Mormon sees the world as a reflection of its spiritual relationship to Yahweh. Therefore, when the Lamanites announce that they are reopening hostilities, he sees it as evidence of his people’s failure to turn to Yahweh.

Culture: The later Aztecs had, as an ideal of warfare, sending notice of intent to attack. In practice, the ideal was seldom met. However, most of their opponents knew that they were coming, even without the formal notice.

Chronology: The 360th year would be A.D. 350.
