“I Was Visited of the Lord, and Tasted and Knew of the Goodness of Jesus”

Brant Gardner

Yahweh’s spirit is still available to righteous individuals. Mormon was one of them and testifies that he was “visited of the Lord.” This phrase might be read as the Spirit, but there is no reason to preclude an actual visitation from the Savior. Because Mormon declares himself a special witness of the Savior (3 Ne. 5:12–13), I find this reading the most likely. Here is another parallel to Joseph Smith, who also had a visitation from the Savior by the time he was fifteen.
