No doubt these false churches did many wicked deeds, things which would horrify and offend the spiritually sensitive. Perhaps it was in an effort to epitomize their sins that Mormon elucidated one abomination in particular—the administration of the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper to the unworthy (see 3 Nephi 18:28).
