“Therefore Ye Need Not Suppose That Ye Can Turn the Right Hand of the Lord Unto the Left”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

Mormon here warns those who spurn, and treat the words and works of the Lord as something of no worth, that His work will go on in spite of their ill will, and by it they can in nowise hope to have Him nullify that which "He hath sworn."

In the bloody pages of history that record the persecutions of the Jews in many parts of the world, we see not only the wrath of God displayed in their dispersion, but also love for His chosen people in preparing the way for their gathering together again; that they may again be a light unto the world, and that again the Word of the Lord shall go forth from Jerusalem. (See, Isaiah 2:3) Yes, the Lord has and will "execute judgment unto the fulfilling of the Covenant which He hath made unto the House of Israel."
