“Beginning to Be Fulfilled”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

When “these sayings” (the Book of Mormon) are published to the latter-day world, it is a sign that covenant promises God made to the children of Israel are “beginning to be fulfilled.” And it would not be a good idea to say that the Lord delays his coming to them, that all is vain, and continue spurning God’s doings.

Woes are pronounced on those who deny the Christ and his works, such as revelation, prophecy, gifts of the Spirit, miracles, and so on. See commentary at 2 Nephi 28:1–8; Mormon 9:7–20; Moroni 7:35–37.
