“Herefore Ye Shall Call Whatsoever Things Ye Do Call, in My Name”

Brant Gardner

This verse makes a transition from names per se to the thing named. The Messiah’s name is paramount for it enables the twelve’s actions: “Call whatsoever things ye do call, in my name.” Acting in the Messiah’s name is invoking the power of the priesthood, a power intimately associated with the divine person, Yahweh-Messiah (Christ).
