Because tithes and offering represent a sacrifice to God, he reserves great blessing for those who are obedient. On the other hand those who rebel against this important commandment put themselves in greater danger than many of them may realize. In a modern revelation the Lord says:
"Behold, now it is called today until the coming of the Son of Man, and verily it is a day of sacrifice, and a day for the tithing of my people; for he that is tithed shall not be burned at his coming."2
