“For a Small Moment Have I Forsaken Thee”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

The adversities and afflictions experienced during the time away, when the wayward wife was separated (“scattered”) from her husband, shall appear to be—in the eternal perspective—only “a small moment” (also D&C 121:7). Actually, the Lord has never forsaken any of his people; it may just seem that way as he tries and tests us. We understandably feel God-forsaken when we abandon him and his Spirit.
