“My People Shall Know My Name”

Some seem to think that God’s existence depends on people’s belief in him. This means that if someone believes in him, then he is real for that person. If another person does not believe in God, however, he is as unreal to that person as he is real to the first. In this verse, however, the Lord teaches us that whether or not we choose to believe in him and follow him, the time will come when we will have to acknowledge him as our Lord.
