In verses 32, 34-38 Jesus quotes from What we know as Isaiah 52, interspersing occasionally the name of the Father for the LORD (see commentary on 3 Nephi 16:5), showing that the latter-day gathering of Israel represents the glorious fulfillment of God’s word through the prophets concerning the destiny of his chosen people.
