Then the Savior says that those standing before him are the children of those prophets. And Jesus was sent to the Nephites first so that in the latter days their teachings might go to the Gentiles. At that time God will bless the Gentiles in the promised land until they become the strongest nation on earth. But he said when the Gentiles first discover and settle America they will scatter the Lamanites and seize their lands.
In that day Jesus said the Gentiles will be a scourge to the Lamanites or seed of Jacob in this land. Nevertheless, when the Gentiles receive the fulness of the gospel and then share it with the Lamanites, the Gentiles must not become proud and harden their hearts or their iniquities will engulf them.
