On the first day, Jesus preached to his “other sheep”—the Nephites, who were “lost” from Israel’s main body (3 Ne. 16). Part of that message instructed them that the separation would continue—that they would not be literally gathered back into Israel. This second-day sermon, by the Father’s instruction, now discusses Israel’s eventual unification.
