“Behold Now I Finish the Commandment Which the Father Hath Commanded Me”

Brant Gardner

On the first day, Jesus gives a discourse on the “other sheep,” and indicates that this people are one of those who are, and who will be, separated from Israel (see 3 Nephi 16). Part of that message dealt with the continuation of the separation. The reason for bringing up that entire subject had to be related to the desires of the Nephites to understand when they would be gathered back into Israel. That day’s sermon focused on the reason for the continued separation. The sermon on this day now focuses on the eventual unification of Israel. It is commanded of the Father that Jesus inform this people who have been cut off from the main body of the Covenant people that they would eventually be reunited.
