Jesus then proceeded to teach these people the fundamental principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. All through the life of each human being who has heard the gospel, these basic principles must be reviewed and rekindled in the conscience of the soul if he or she is to return to the presence of our Heavenly Father. All of these people had heard these principles before, but they are so simple they become commonplace. Jesus wanted them to hear each aspect of this bedrock of the gospel from his lips.
