“The Father and the Son, and the Holy Ghost Are One”

Sometimes, the language of the Book of Mormon seems to suggest a Trinitarian worldview, but as we saw in the previous note, Mormons do not believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are literally one being. Here, Jesus points to their intimate connection and shared purpose (“I am in the Father, and the Father in me”) but does not insist that they are a single essence.
