There is no indication that Jesus was appearing to them in glory, but just as he appeared to Mary Magdalene and the Twelve Apostles in Jerusalem. He was very much like an ordinary person who wanted these people to see him as being very much like one of themselves. It was all so natural and wonderful that he wanted them to come up close and touch him.
