It is interesting that over in Jerusalem, just as Jesus was being baptized and getting ready to launch his ministry at the age of 30, the Church among the Nephites was crumbling to pieces. The exception was the Lamanite converts, who were determined to keep the commandments of God regardless of what happened to the rest of the people.
