One of the great instrumentalities of the gathering in the latter days is the Book of Mormon. The prophet/historian Mormon is fully aware of the importance of his divine role in bringing forth the word of God to help in the process of assembling the elect of Zion and inculcating in them the principles of salvation and exaltation through the Holy Spirit (see 3 Nephi 5:13). The Book of Mormon is “Another Testament of Jesus Christ” and the means for expanding and building the kingdom of God in the world in preparation for the Second Coming.
