“They Did Put Up Their Prayers Unto the Lord Their God”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

The greatest armor is the armor of righteousness, bestowed upon the faithful through their supplication to the Lord for protection and deliverance. At the same time, every wise precaution of a practical nature is called for. The Lord protects those who, in humility, do all they can to protect themselves and their families. The righteous leadership at the time called upon the people to do both: ask the Lord for His strength and protecting hand and take all prudent steps (armament, gathering, provisions) to ensure optimum security.
