Lachoneus proposes gathering "in the center of our lands" (3 Nephi 3:21), which by this time probably includes many lands in the land northward. Thus, the "center" of Nephite lands would have moved northward from the city of Zarahemla, which was referred to during the invasion of Coriantumr as "the heart" of Nephite lands (Helaman 1:18).
