As in the days of Cain, Lucifer used a murder cult to divert the people and pervert the Nephite civilization. It is amazing how rapidly the whole Nephite civilization began to let greed and a lust for power sweep away their recent conversion. And the people of Samuel the Lamanite began to crumble under the same lust for greed and power.
