“Satan Did Get Great Hold Upon the Hearts of the People”

While angels were appearing to “wise men” (v. 14), Satan was stirring up the unbelievers to greater self-justifications and hard-heartedness. As the Messiah’s birth approaches, the two well-defined Nephite paths diverge even more sharply than in the past. The righteous believe and anxiously await. The unrighteous disbelieve and condemn the believers. The differences are creating ugly and dangerous tensions.
