“Led by Foolish and Blind Guides”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Each person is responsible for his or her own spiritual welfare. Though the Lord expects us to be loving and caring to others and especially to encourage those who are weak in the faith, no one of us can be blessed or blamed on the basis of someone else’s faithfulness or waywardness. Nor will he who is the embodiment of truth and justice and judgment be patient everlastingly with those who trust their lives to “blind guides,” to those who wander in the morass of uncertainty, who proceed with great confidence down the wide road to destruction, all in the name of discipleship.
