Samuel proclaims the utter extinction of the Nephites if they do not repent. This was originally a great secret which Alma shared with his son Helaman.1 However, the angel must have instructed Samuel to pour this terrible prophecy down upon the heads of the wicked Nephites in Zarahemla like a cascade of scalding water.
