The warning voice of the prophets of God is the same for every generation: repent or be destroyed. The Lord’s word, bestowed as a gift of heaven upon the people, can be removed and His Spirit withdrawn if the people persist in iniquity and refuse to repent when warned by the prophets. When we allow our hearts to be hardened and choose to not repent, we lose the power of the word in our lives and the blessings of the Holy Spirit.
