Mormon is employing language—concerning the resurrection of life and the resurrection of damnation—reminiscent of that used in the Gospel of John (John 5:28-29). Either Jesus and Mormon were drawing upon the words of an earlier prophet or Mormon learned the same doctrine through an independent revelation from that same Lord.
