“Will Ye Say That the Sons of Zedekiah Were Not Slain All Except It Were Mulek?”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

All the sons of Zedekiah were put to death except Mulek, a person whom some scholars believe to have been a child at the time of Jerusalem’s destruction. The band of Israelites we know as the Mulekites, presumably of the tribe of Judah, left Jerusalem, were led by the Lord to the Americas, and arrived on that continent at about the same time as the Lehites. See 2 Kings 25:7; Omni 1:14-15; Helaman 6:10.
