“To the Land Northward”

Brant Gardner

Hagoth did not set sail in any of his ships, but rather stayed behind as a shipbuilder. His first ship made a successful voyage and returned, a round trip that took something less than a year. It is doubtful that all of that time, or even most of it, was on the ocean. The voyage would have taken the people to some location, and they would have spent some time there before sending the ship back. Unfortunately, the details are so vague that the fact of the return is not helpful in determining the distance the ship may have traveled.
