“Notwithstanding Their Riches or Their Strength, or Their Prosperity, They Were Not Lifted Up in the Pride”

Wealth, as such, does not make one prideful. It is a choice we make. Remember that pride and humility are both conditions of the heart—based on one’s choices. When we are born of God and seek His will, we can avoid a prideful attitude because we will remember the goodness of God (see verse 50).
