Mormon has not specified Ammoron’s location since Alma 59:7 when he ordered the Lamanite assault on Nephihah. He makes a reappearance at Moroni, this last Lamanite stand on the eastern front. It would appear logical that he had been with the strong force in Nephihah and escaped to another Lamanite holding. With the fall of the cities, he finds himself in Moroni. His presence underscores the importance attached to the confrontation.
