What blessings come from a people being united?

Thomas R. Valletta

“Unity is strength. ‘How pleasing it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!’ Let the Saints of the Most High ever cultivate this principle, and the most glorious blessings must result, not only to them individually, but to the whole Church—the order of the kingdom will be maintained, its officers respected, and its requirements readily and cheerfully obeyed” ( Joseph Smith [manual], 276).

What can we learn from Moroni’s accusations against his political leaders? (60:18–23) “It was, to say the least, not the most tactful letter in the world, but Moroni’s patience was worn out. Also, it turned out, he was right—on every point but one. And that point was an important one: he had accused the wrong man. Aside from that, he had the situation correctly sized up—his long experience with the king-men had not been for nothing” (Nibley, Since Cumorah, 326).
