Without waiting any longer for a reply from Pahoran, the chief judge, Moroni decided to write another letter to Pahoran and this one was a real scorcher. This letter was based on suppositions rising out of the very desperate circumstances under which both Moroni and Helaman were trying to prevent the Nephite cause from collapsing, and prevent the Lamanites from ravaging the whole country.
It is interesting that Moroni addressed his letter not only to Pahoran but to all of the political leaders who had charge of the country's affairs.
