“We Did Pour Out Our Souls in Prayer to God”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

Imagine the circumstances. An army of considerable size waits for long-overdue support from the capital city. Here is a group of intrepid men whose supplies are rapidly dwindling. The Lamanites, well-supplied from their homeland, are inflicting harm on them from time to time. The 2,060 stripling warriors are waiting for a chance to rise once again in defense of their homeland. But nothing is happening. Time is running out. What can be done? They pray. They seek the blessings of Almighty God, and He gives them peace and hope. No matter what our own circumstances might be, no matter the challenges we face, let us seek the blessing of peace through prayer. We can be assured that the Spirit answers prayers.
