Helaman, who began with a band of two thousand, has added sixty more Ammonites. They have obviously maintained their integrity as a unit, rather than being integrated into Antipus’s force or mingling with the six thousand reinforcements. Although 2,060 appears to be an exact count, it may simply be recognition of the two periods in which his force originated, to clarify that nobody from either group was killed.
