The end result, however, is that the Lamanites suffer large losses, and eventually surrender. The objective has been reached, though not without heroic and desperate struggle. Each army has used the best options available to them in this type of a war, and the turning point is the decision of Helaman’s young men to enter the battle, even though they had never fought before.
