Antipus’s trap consisted of sending a convincing-looking supply unit to provision the city beyond Antiparah, a target that the Lamanites had already found tempting. Antipus marched out from Judea after enough time had passed that the spies would report Helaman’s column to the leader in Antiparah but before they had seen the movement of Antipus’s men.
