Waiting is tipping the scales against the Lamanites. They send out sorties intended to disrupt the supply lines. Obviously, they have not been able to mount a successful siege against Judea, cutting off all access, nor do they mount a full-scale attack. These raiding parties who attack the supply trains give Antipus the opening he had been waiting for.
