Where Helaman had learned his strategy maneuvers is not given to us, but it reminds us of the taking of the city of Mulek on the east quarter of the land (see Alma 52:19–40). However, Mormon’s purpose was not to teach us the strategy of war, but to exemplify the faith of the young sons of the people of Ammon. The above verses seem self-explanatory.
