It was almost unbelievable that Moroni's rather simple stratagem had set up the city of Gid for immediately conquest without the shedding of blood. An illustration of Moroni's ingenious scheme of furnishing arms to the Nephite prisoners will be found on page 104 of volume three of Treasures from the Book of Mormon. By this means Moroni captured the city and rescued all of the Nephite prisoners. It was a tremendous victory.
