“Moroni Marched with the Remainder to Meet the Lamanites When They Should Return from the Pursuit of Teancum”

Brant Gardner

Apparently Mulek’s capture was so sudden and complete that no soldiers escaped to retreat to the other Lamanite-held cities. Leaving a garrison at the city, Moroni hastened off along the route of the Lamanites pursuing the fleeing Teancum. He would not have risked a counter-attack from Lamanites from other cities that might have retaken Mulek, from which I deduce that the other Lamanite-held cities did not know of Mulek’s capture.
