“Entered into a Covenant to Keep the Peace”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

This verse reminds all freedom-loving nations in our modern day that sometimes we have to maintain armaments to keep the peace. It is ironic but true; righteous nations have to fight for peace. The Mormon Miracle Pageant presented annually for decades on Temple Hill in Manti, Utah, includes this memorable idea: “Through all the years of peace Moroni never disarmed. You cannot compromise with evil; if you do, evil always wins.”
