“The People of Nephi Were Exceedingly Rejoiced”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

The cause of the Nephites is the security of their homes and families and the protection of their rights of liberty and freedom of religion expression. They defend themselves for a noble cause, and the Lord blesses them and delivers them as He has in so many similar situations in the past with the people of the Lord. Their response is one of thanksgiving, with much fasting and prayer. We often fast and pray in supplication for deliverance from our tribulations, but do we remember to fast and pray in thanksgiving after the Lord blesses us and answers our petitions for help?
