“Lost Forever… Fallen Man”
All are lost, all are fallen, save there be an atonement! “Wherefore, all mankind were in a lost and in a fallen state,” Lehi explained, “and ever would be save they should rely on this Redeemer” (1 Nephi 10:6). All are hardened and lost (see Alma 34:9). All of Adam’s posterity are subject to both temporal and spiritual deaths. Hence the need for one who is God’s Son to redeem them. Hence the true and proper doctrine of salvation by the grace of God.
