“That Which Ye Do Send Out Shall Return Unto You Again”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

Alma blesses his struggling son with counsel that cannot be misunderstood. What Corianton needs to do is to repent, and then to reach out and do good continually. We can obtain mercy through righteousness. Let us remember that justice requires righteousness, which seals the authenticity of our repentance and demonstrates before God that we are willing to enter a covenant of obedience and service. We can rejoice that Corianton does indeed repent and return to his missionary labors with honor. We can do the same as we correct our shortcomings and strive to be “perfect in Christ’ (Moroni 10:32, 33).
