“Wickedness Never Was Happiness”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

Wickedness never was happiness, but righteousness always brings happiness—if not immediately, ultimately. Jesus was a righteous person and, therefore, a happy person—and we want to be like Jesus.

Those who live “without God in the world” are certainly not living “after the manner of happiness” (2 Nephi 5:27) but are walking in darkness—living a life without light. Walking with God, there is happiness and light.
