Corianton is a member of the group that accompanies Alma on his mission to the Zoramites in the land of Antionum around 74 BC. Included also is Alma’s son Shiblon, plus three of the sons of Mosiah—Ammon, Aaron, and Omner. Amulek and Zeezrom also are participants. Corianton and Shiblon are privileged, therefore, to participate in a missionary circle of unsurpassed power and experience. Following this mission, Alma blesses Shiblon and commends him for his “steadiness” and “faithfulness unto God” (Alma 38:2). For Corianton, however, Alma has firm words of reproof and admonition:
